About The Wing

The Wing is a women-focused coworking place designed for productivity, creativity, and inspiration. It aims to cater to the needs of female freelancers and entrepreneurs. When they started, they only allowed those who identified as women or non-binary. But, under the non-discrimination law, they had to accept all genders.

In October 2016, Audrey Gelman and her co-founder, Lauren Kassan, opened their first workspace in Flatiron, New York. Since then, they have grown to over 10,000 members and have opened five other active locations in SoHo and Bryant Park, NY, San Francisco and West Hollywood, CA, and Chicago.

Service Offerings

The Wing provides working spaces that meet the needs of the professional by creating flexible membership plans. They provide both monthly plans and cost-effective annual plans. All membership plans have access to the following services:

  • Communal workspace
  • Private photo Booths
  • Conference Rooms
  • Events and Programming
  • In-house Cafe

Their members get to connect at any one of their social events where they explore new topics, get inspired, and find support.

You can choose to book a meeting room, a professional space to meet or pitch clients, a coworking desk, or a training room. They offer Purpose-built spaces with on-site catering and office space.

The members of the Wing or Winglets, as the company calls them, can use the space to work, eat, socialize, breastfeed, shower, network, exercise, nap, reapply their makeup, or meditate.

What Makes the Wing Stand Out?

The Wing provides a workspace that feels welcoming to all. Their zero tolerance for any form of bias makes them a healthy place to work. They provide a peaceful environment free of any harassment and discrimination.

They set out with a plan to build a work environment that caters to women's needs; the company provides a pro-feminist environment where female freelancers and entrepreneurs feel comfortable and can do their best work.
